Public Safety
The Law Enforcement pathway is a dual enrolled program with Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC). Students enrolled in the program receive high school and technical college credits.
The program emphasizes the role of the police system, judicial system, and correctional system. Students interested in public safety careers will have opportunities to participate in simulated exercises such as mock criminal trials, mock crime scene investigations, and mock criminal investigations.
The courses available in the Public Safety pathway include:
- Law Enforcement
- Introduction to Law, Public Safety, Corrections and Safety
- Criminal Justice Essentials
- Criminal Investigations
- Forensic Science
Successful completion of Law Public Safety, Corrections and Security courses allows you to receive the pathway completer cord and TCC (Technical Certificates of Completion).
- Criminal Justice at HCCA gives students 24 college credits.
- Year 1 - 12 college credits
- Year 2 - 12 college credits
