According to the Department of Labor, careers in Information Technology will be among the fastest growing occupations in Georgia over the next decade.
Program graduates are prepared for a variety of careers including:
- Network administrator
- Computer programmer
- Office specialist
- PC repair technician
- Network installation and configuration technician
- Computer help desk assistant
Information Technology pathway courses include:
- Computer Systems and Support
- Information Technology Essentials
- Information Technology Support
Receive a total of 11 college credit hours for:
- COMP 1000 - Introduction to Computer Literacy
- CIST 1135 - Operating Systems Concepts
- CIST 1122 - Hardware Installation and Maintenance
Students in the Information Technology pathway are dually enrolled with Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC).
Successful completion of Information Technology courses prepares the student to earn the CompTIA A+ Certified Technician TCC (Technical Certificate of Credit).
