Mr. Ashford is a graduate of Northside High School class of 2020. He obtained a Master's degree in Information Technology from Middle Georgia State University in 2021 after completing dual-enrollment credits through his high school career. He currently teaches IT courses at Central Georgia Technical College and at the Houston County Career Academy after moving on from adjunct teaching at Middle Georgia State University.

An avid lover of vintage computing, Mr. Ashford is a member of the Atlanta Historical Computing Society and curates for Macon's Museum of Technology hosted by Middle Georgia State University. He dedicates his spare time to the restoration, preservation, documentation, and, most importantly, demonstration of legacy systems so future generations may better understand where computers came from, and where they may go in the future.
