Bio

I am ecstatic to teach this course and to have the opportunity to get to know each one of you along the way. I am a Registered Respiratory Therapist. I earned my Associates Degree in Respiratory at Macon State College in 2012. Shortly afterwards I went on to earn my BSRT (Bachelor’s in Respiratory Science) from Middle Georgia State University, where I have proudly worked as a Clinical Instructor.  Prior to joining Houston County Career Academy I was the COPD and Asthma educator at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, GA. I have also worked at just about every hospital in the middle Georgia area from the emergency room, intensive care units, neonatal intensive care and adult acute care.

I am a U. S. Army Veteran, I proudly served active duty in the United States Army and the Georgia Army National Guard which was a total of 11 years.  I served during Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).  I have a wonderful husband, and three loving children that served alongside with me.

My teaching philosophy is to bring consistency, dedication, and diligence to the classroom while using outside resources to accommodate various learning styles.
